I joined Wesbank on the 20th of August 2013 and had to move from Nedgroup Medical Aid to Bankmed. I received a certificate from Nedgroup Medical Aid confirming that we will be on their membership until the end of August 2013. Bankmed send me an sms the last week in August confirming they received our application and is currently processing same. I then received an sms on 2 September 2013 welcoming me to the medical aid. My daughter is flying to Cape Town today and I still have not received our medical aid cards. I contacted them, spoke to Nosipho and she advised me my daughter was not added. Even though they received the application (which shows my daughter's details) and the conformation from Nedgroup, also reflecting my daughter. She told me they did not get her birth certificate, even though I submitted it. They never contacted me to advise me they did not receive it. This is totally unacceptable and I will demand to get my own medical aid. I need confirmation today in writing that my daughter is a member.
