I am changing jobs and have applied to join Bankmed form 1 Oct 2013. I submitted all the forms on the 16th of September and was assured that it will be ample time to have it activated by the 1st of Oct.
I have followed up daily over the last week as my membership have not been activated as yet. On the 35th I was told that they are waiting for my Discovery medical aid certificate, which I sent through on the 16th along with my application form. I re-sent it on the 25th, but still no action.
Have followed up daily, and every day the story changes. I have asked for it to be escalated as my current medical aid is expiring on the 30th of Sept and as such I need to have Bankmed active on the 1st, else I will be without medical aid.

This is not a risk I am willing to take, and have given Bankmed more than enough time to sort this out. Their call centre can't assist, and any form of escalation also doesn't help.
