My mother is a member of Bonitas Medical Aid and we both live in Jukskei Park, a suburb of Randburg. Our postal code has always been 2153, but Bonitas does not have, and will not add this to "the list of postal codes that the Post Office gave us" So instead they have decided to send it to code 2188 (because they can?). This severely delays correspondence my mother has with her Medical Aid, as she does not have a computer. No other institution that either of us deal with has ever had a problem with our code. Every letter my mother receives from Bonitas has a big red sticker on it referring to the correct postal code (which I have scanned to Bonitas). Their response? "Sorry, this postal code does not exist". As this stresses my 88 year old mother out, I have resorted to getting her statements sent to me... with they accept my email address? Time will tell.
