I joined fedhealth in June of this year after being with Discovery on my ex hubby medical aid for almost 16 years then I went on Discovery on my own with no problems. I informed Fedhealth of this and they assured me I will have no exclusions and no co-payments in July my Dr advised I have endometriosis and it needs to be removed they do a procedure to try and avoid a hysterectomy and I needed pre author for the op what a headache this was and I got told to pay R1800 co-payment and I refused now I need to have the hysterectomy as I'm having all sorts of medical problems including uncontrolled bleeding I'm booked for 9th December and it's been 3 days now and all Fedhealth can tell me is my request for authorisation is with under writing ask for a team leader you told they in a meeting and left holding on endlessly after you inform them you on your mobile phone o must have spent close to R500 already calling Fedhealth thus us pathetic and disgusting when I pay then R3500 for myself and 2 small kids who has yet to use this medical aid I am so angry I have no way of describing it. I have had nothing but poor service and each time I need my medical aid it's a fight I scared to get sick.
