Friendly service does not equal quality goods

Once I find a place which offers good customer service, I keep returning to that place. Torga Optical in Clearwater mall has always employed friendly, helpful staff. Unfortunately, this was not enough to make up for the lack of the standard of the goods. I went for a eye test on the 27/8. The 1/9 my glasses were ready, but there was a chip in it. The optometrist said she will have it fixed the next day. That Monday I did not receive a phone call. I went back the 5/9. My glasses were still not fixed. I was asked if I am going to be around for an hour so they can quickly fix it, (which means they obviously forgot about my glasses). I could not wait, seeing as I had an appointment. I went back on Saturday the 7/9, and the lenses were too strong. Sunday the 8th I returned the glasses. I told the assistant that this is now the 4th time I had to return to the shop. She snapped at me saying: "For what? To get your eyes tested." I refused to talk to her further, put the glasses /slips and letter on her table and said that I want it fixed by Monday 9/9. Another (mature and friendly) lady phoned me an hour later and said she will give it to the optom. I paid R914 in for this kind of service
