I recently changed from state funded medical aid to private capacity. Before the change I phoned discovery to set it up, but due to an error by discovery the debit order will run a month late. Consequently my medical aid has been suspended until next month when two payments will be deducted. Only then will the suspension be lifted. So now I have no cover for 10 days due to a mistake made by discovery. I have been a loyal client for more than 5 years, but obviously discovery has no loyalty their clients. I should not have to suffer for their mistakes. I will now look at other medical aids and so far I am surprised to see that discovery is actually very expensive when compared to other medical aids.
