I recently submitted a claim to discovery for a paediatrician consultation for my son who is on my fathers medical aid. This appointment was over an hour, yet Discovery will only pay just over half of the consultation. Yet Discovery will pay the same amount for a GP visit of 15 MIN!!!
When I call to query this, nobody will assist me as I am not a member of the plan.
My dad has cancer and is really ill, HE DOES NOT NEED TO BE BOTHERED WITH THIS NONSENSE! But it seems that Discovery does not care for their clients - especially considering how long they took approve his cancer treatment. Big thumbs down for Discovery Health, lots of frills, but not much medical.
