I went in April for a operation, the day before I went to sign all the documents, I asked the receptionist if they received all the authorization from my medical aid the gentlemen confirmed that everything is in order and in don't have to worry. The next morning wen I went in I confirmed again and they assured me that everything is in order. So the doctor proceed with the operation and the same evening I went home.2 Months later I received a letter from the hospital were the stated that they will hand me over to their lawyers if I don't pay the outstanding amount of R7000.00, I was in shock because I never received any bills or statements from them, I phoned their accounts department and the lady told me that my time in theater was longer than what the medical paid for and I must pay the rest. The hospital did not informed on the day of the operation that there is a amount outstanding, or contacted afterwards, I must pay the money, but the guest relations of this hospital is not good. Hopefully there is coming a bigger and better hospital and hopefully the service will be good.
