No authorization received the day before operation

So I understand that there are hundreds if not thousands of claims and authorization which have to go through the right channels. On Thursday, 20th of June 2013, my mother phoned the medical aid to get authorization for my operation on the 25th of June 2013. When we phoned the Thursday we were transferred to so many departments including the clinical department. They informed my mom that they will first need to get authorization. So on Monday my mother phoned again and they said they are still awaiting authorization and they will phone her back. At 4 pm my mother decided to phone AGAIN as my operation was happening the next day. So they informed my mother that they were CLOSED! At 4 pm the afternoon. We then phoned the emergency number and the lady with the inaudible name said: " How are we suppose to phone you if we have no information? " My mother asked her wether they are aware that my operation is tomorrow. The lady we spoke to was very upset that we did not inform her about this. This was the first thing they asked when they were compiling a file. I am SO disappointed that they closed at 4 pm and that no one had answers! Nee man Fedhealth!!!
