On the 4th of June 2013 around 18:30 I had gallstone attack then I called my gap and she referred me to one of their network hospital but unfortunately they didntvhave beds so I had o go to the other nearest hospital to be attend end. The medical aid said they wont authorize for admission as it was noypt their hospital so on the 5th I had to go to their network hospital but still they didn't want repot authorize for admission as my medical aid was active or 5 days but I was with them until end of February this year. I had to go for operation on the 5th but until now, the 7th I haven't got an authorization fom the medical aid. On the 6th they confirmerd receopt of questionnaire fom my gp but when I followed up on thev7th they said they haven't received anything from the dr. I am sick dying in pain at home waiting for hospital admission authorization for more than 3 days now and on top of that I still need to pay Olivedale clinic for that one day admission as discovery said they wont pay. For me to be attendend at their network hospital I need to pat R130000 plus for bed, R7500 for scan and a whole lot for the surgeon and the theatre. What do we pay medical aid premium for? BASANI
