REFUSED EMERGENCY CARE

I arrive at the hospital with my son at 6pm last night, he had a nasty fall and we suspected that his arm was broken. I walk into casualty, explain that I have fully comprehensive medical cover, and am told that it doesn't matter, they contract out and therefore I have to pay R900 cash before someone will look at my son.
So here are the mitigating circumstances:
o It is after hours and an emergency - breaking an arm is not something you can foresee
o I have a fully comprehensive medical aid with Discovery, and Wilgeheuwel is a preferred service provider
BUT YET, they refuse medical care because I do not have R900 cash.
I am sure that this contravenes not only my human rights, but the rights afforded by the medical fraternity and those afforded by Discovery - my service provider.
I am going to rally as much boycotting, striking and social media attacks as I can. Not only for me and my traumatised son, but for all middle and lower classed individuals who fork out thousands for medical cover each month but yet cannot afford emergency treatment. It is a disgusting state of affairs. I think that Wilgeheuwel need to relook their practises and Discovery need to investigate.
