I went to Kathu Mediclinic with a sick child. I could not get assistance because they wanted me to pay R1050.00 cash before they can check my son inspite the fact that I had a medical aid. I was told no medical aid works in casualty they want only cash. We pay a lot of money to the medical aid because we want to get assistance at private hospitals, now its all cash. When is this system of inconsiderate going to end? what happened to private hospital working with medical aids? so a person will die because there is no cash but medical aid? then why do we even pay medical aid because its also cost a lot of money that at the end of the day hospitals like Kathu mediclinic dont use. I was send home with a miserable crying sick child. They even refused just to check the child. Please tell me where is our country going to!!!
