We had our wedding on the 14th of December 2012. The total cost for our wedding amounted to R11 370 (including the refundable breakage deposit of R1 500). In their agreement documentation, it clearly states that the breakage deposit is refundable within 14 days after the wedding. We paid an amount of R12 670. Elmarie @ The Thatch refunded us our overpayment of R1 363 (the difference between the amount paid and the amount owed), BUT the breakage deposit of R1 500 was not refunded. There was no damage caused to their wedding and conference venue. I have beeen emailing Elmarie and have left messages for her, but to no avail. She is not returning my calls, neither my emails and also not refunding the breakage deposit of R1 500.
