We had asked Emma's Cake to do our cake for our wedding and paid the deposit over however the wedding has subsequently been postponed with no new date set yet. I emailed Tony in the beginning of April to inform him of this and asked for our deposit back bearing in mind our wedding was scheduled for August this year and I was giving him 5 months notice, he said it shouldn't be a problem and will pay it back, i waited the entire month of April for the money back. Start of May i emailed him again and he said we are only entitled to half the deposit back so fine i sent him my banking details and it's now May 13 and I'm still waiting for "half" my deposit back. Nowhere on their website or the form you fill in for them do they say that our deposit was non refundable so what does a person do now? Their service is unacceptable and I wouldn't recommend brides have their cakes made by them in case anything goes wrong and you will never see your deposit again.
