I had a ear operation, both my ears are very small inside. I phoned and got my authorization for the operation and the Dr. did the operation on my one ear. After a big battle I got them to pay the Dr. and now they don't want to pay the clinic where the operation was done. The Dr. phoned me yesterday and explained to me that the ICD10 codes are the motivation for the operation and he did not take any photo's because it is in the inside of the ear NOTHING was done outside the ear. My Dad took photo's off my ear just after the operation which I have send to Discovery but they are not happy with them. There is no other photo's The Dr. said he will do a letter as they request but they will have to pay for it which they said they won't. Why did they pay the Dr. and aneathetist for the operation and not the clinic. They said if they don't get a letter and photo's soon they will decline everything and I will have to pay for everything which I can't afford that is why I pay my medical aid every month. I am due to go for my other ear on the 6th November but can't book anything unless this is sorted out. I phone them twice a week to try and sort out this problem!!!
