Resolution Health Medical Scheme
BAD FAITH BILLING AND TREATMENT OF CLIENTS

My parents are Foundation Resolution Health Members. The plan requires proof of income to be sent in once a year as it is a salary linked medical aid. On 18/12/2012 I forwarded, in accordance with the previous requirements given to us, confirmation that my mother is currently unemployed. I included her last pay slip from her last employment in case they wished to verify anything. Despite us having complied and, for the second year in a row, resolution deducted the amount for highest salary bracket. I have phoned to follow up on 11/1, 18/1 and today. On 18/1 I was told that they now require further proof, none of which had been requested from us before. I am still awaiting confirmation of what further information / documentation they require. They are acting in bad faith. We are 10 days away from the next month and resolution health does not seem to be interested in resolving this problem. If they wanted more and/or different proof of income this should have been requested timeously last year, not this year, at our expense, as they take advantage of the situation. My medical aid is also with resolution and I am considering moving both mine and my parents to another medical aid.
