I had a claim from a medical practitioner and the medical was to pay out to me to pay the practitioner, when no money came into my account I contacted the Customer Care number to find what went wrong, only to find out that I apparently still owed them R787 from my previous medical aid, that was brought over to my new account, this was a company medical aid thus when I left the company and joined the new company I was forced to open a new account.
they claim to have sent me numerous communications using the details on my old account, even though they have newly updated details on my current account, after 4 years of not knowing about this they cannot pay the medical bill because I somehow still owe them money.
This is unethical behavior and also unacceptable behavior.
