NON-DISCLOSURE OF MEDICAL INFORMATION- OBJECT!

My husband joined Discovery Health Medical Scheme as part of their employer group. He was accepted as a member with start date:2013/05/01.On the night of 30/04/2013, my husband started to complain of severe headache which got worse the following morning. I took him to the Trauma Unit. They've decided to admit him to hospital. The medical aid was contacted & the admission was authorized. On 02/05/2013, a MRI scan was performed that showed a lesion within the left cerebellar hemisphere. His condition got worse & eventually had to be resuscitated & was rushed to theatre. An emergency post fossa craniotomy was then performed. He was taken to the ICU unit. A tracheotomy & PEG tube was inserted due to inability to swallow. The treatment was authorized, but after about a month in ICU, they have cancelled the membership which means that we will be responsible for all medical & hospital expenses from the date of admission. According to the medical aid there was non-disclosure of medical information, I totally object as he never was given any forms to fill with regard to any previous medical history & are now being penalised due to ommision from the scheme/broker. Any help would be appreciated please!
