Reversal of claims

I had to take my two sons off my scheme as they were no longer dependents, but my premium did not change much, I was paying R 4700.00 for 4, after their removal I was paying R4200 for 2. I emailed and cancelled claim, I never received statements after that and presumed it was cancelled, I then got a call to say I had not paid, I explained I had terminated, but she said they have no record, I emailed again, yesterday I received a sms saying if I did not pay R8524.00 but the 14/6/2013 they would terminate me and reverse all my claims, the last time I claimed was in August last year can they do this.
