After my previous report, a representative phoned, the case was investigated and they payed only one of numerous bills-I believe this was to try shut me up. When I expressed my distaste at the results, the person then told me that I can continue to post on Hello Peter if I like as she deals with the complaints so I would just get back to her everytime. This is unacceptable from a Medical Aid, they are who try get away with paying as little as they can-This needs to stop! I am still out of pocket and as Discovery doesn't care-I am thankful I am no longer with them, its like a weight been lifted off my shoulders! Momentum Health rocks. I would advise everyone who reads this who is a member of Discovery, to change medical aids, it is a conglomerate who is hard to fight. They obviously have huge resources at their disposal and when one tries to claim what one is rightfully entitled to, they just don't care!
At the end of the day, its us that bear the brunt-the little guys who need the support of our medical aids the most! We fork out huge amounts for medical aid in the hope that we will be covered. After much research I have come to one conclusion-get a hospital plan!
