Netcare
Unitas is a government hospital

My 13 weeks daughter was admitted 28 May, we have spend 3 nights here so far. I regret coming here, it's the same as a government hospital. Unfortunately it takes one rotten potato to spoil the entire bag. The nurse attempted the drip 4 times before successfully getting it right, blood was all over the place, the nurses were then concerned about wearing gloves. I had to stop her bleeding and helped them get it right on their last attempt. We all know how painful a drip is on adults, what more on a baby. They were very careless and laughing throughout their attempts. Then afterwards blood sample had to be taken, they also attempted twice before getting it right. This was unnecessary trauma for my baby. A few hours later, the lab staff requested to take more blood because they did not draw enough after all the trauma they caused earlier. The bathroom had no toilet paper. The taps in the bedroom had cold water only. I was served soft porridge without a spoon, I requested for a spoon which I received an hour later. I begged for drinking water but received the jug without a glass. I asked for a glass but it had a crack which I asked to be replaced. Tumi
