My father was admitted to N17 on the 21/04 with chest pains and high blood pressure. Once admitted to the ward the nursing staff asking questions where rude and argumentative, which is not the most shocking the nurse who put up his drip did not wear any gloves even though the blood was pouring out of the drip all over the bed, when i questioned her as to why her answer was the gloves make them clumsy clearly the nurses need training i would rather they be clumsy than take unnecessary health risks to themselves and patients. When my father had to go for x-rays they insisted he go in a wheel chair as he was having chest pains and its procedure however on the way back they made him walk back to the ward cause they needed the wheel chair for another patient what the don't you have more than wheel chair. they then decided he needed to move to ICU which took about 3 hours because they needed to make a bed or find a bed yet when we got to ICU there was only 1 person there? The food served to my father who had a possible heart condition is shocking it was laced with salt to the degree he would not even eat it! Worst of all is the nurses fighting in the ICU and nothing done about it.
