I have been a Discovery Vitality member for the past 3 years and I regularly grocery shop at PicknPay.
I find it ridiculous that some tinned vegetables, tinned fish and certain spreads etc are not considered healthy foods. I have been diagnosed with high cholestrol (genetic) and have been advised to buy goods which contain soya product and I also follow a low GI diet
Surely someone who is trying to lead a better healthy lifesyle by reducing their cholestrol and eating a healthy gi diet should be rewarded. NO. Flora spread recommended by the Heart Foundation on its packaging is NOT recognised as a healthy food, neither is the Flora Cholestrol lowering spread. I also buy tinned salmon and tuna which again does not give me any rewards. Other things like Oat Bran and Bran cereals and wholewheat pronutro are not recognised. So i can be healthy try and eat better and it is not recogised by Discovery Vitality and yet Vitality is all about a healthy approach. When i have spoken to Discovery about trying to talk to someone about this i have been advised there is no one they can put me through to.
