My membership was cancelled (required visits not met by 1). I'm aware of the rules but it was hard to meet the requirements with a lower back problem. Driving was painful and I have lost business. I've gone 4-7 times pm until I hurt my back in a Yoga class. I received treatment during Aug to Dec 2012 and my visits became less. I started to walk, hike and gone at least 4 times pm since March. I phoned Discovery to review my membership and take my injury into account but they seem to play the numbers game and are not prepared to look at personal circumstances when making decision that impacts members which is very disappointing. They are blind to what fitness and weight goals I have achieved (which should be in their interest) and apply a narrow focus when asked to review my situation. It's the end of vitality and gym for me as I cannot afford paying extra towards a membership (even at 80% disc at this stage. Only have myself to blame for not going to swipe my card but Discovery's help in this matter disappoint. Maybe I'll get their attention after the weekend's Sunday paper (where I hope to publish a longer letter but I doubt they'll listen or see beyond their number system).
