Good morning. My husband and I support the non-profit organisation Hospice. In the beginning of the year I donated more than R1000 worth of baby goods, camping cots, baby chairs etc to Hospice. Last week my husband saw a fridge that they are selling for R1200 and he told the lady Brenda that he will come and collect it this week and that he is buying it. He asked her if he must give a deposit and she said NO. This morning my husband drove all the way from Pretoria to go and pay and collect it as he just missed them yesterday as they were closed already, but he could see that the fridge was still there. He got there this morning only to find that Brenda sold the fridge to someone else this morning! Now she is saying that my husband said that he was going to fetch it the next day, which is a lie. We were going to put down a deposit, BUT she said NO it is not necessary. I am very sorry, but I will NEVER support them again, which means I will never donate ANYTHING. The least a person can do when they are wrong is to admit it and appologize.
