The doctor requested that my 6 year old have x rays of his sinuses taken at Dr Lambrecht & Partners T/a Eugene Marais Hospital Radiology Dept (L G V X-Ray Dept). I went on Tuesday afternoon and they told me that since they need to get authorisation from the medical aid, I should make an appointment for Thursday at 10am. I provided my details and made the appointment. When I arrives on Thursday, the place was so packed, me (8.5 months pregnant) and my son had to wait in the hallway. After I enquired and even got upset, we were helped at 10:50. A ridiculous 50 minutes after the appointment was made. After the x-rays, which took 5 min, we waited another 30 min for the report. Is this really the service you pay for so highly at a private facility just to get public hospital treatment...? I have had several previous instances with the same dept and without even as much as feedback on my complaint. This is pathetic for a private hospital which you pay a fortune!! If I have the choice, I will NEVER use their services again!
