Dr James from the Maitland Medical Centre is a medical malingerer and anomaly. An urchin and imp who speaks badly about patients behind their backs.
What an inconvenience he caused me all because for some or other reason only known to him (incompetence, among other reasons strongly suspected) would not or could not perform a simple ear irrigation procedure. Not much help either was the cold reception from his cold receptionist who kept insisting that he wouldn't do it, despite the fact that I paid the full consultation fee. Because of this, I again had to use my resources to travel to a doctor who would perform the very simple procedure. Talk about horrendous customer service, no wonder the place is always empty!
My problem is not so much him being either unwilling or unable to perform a procedure but that I have to pay the full fee and not get my money's worth. It's not fair for a patient to find out that there are certain procedures the doctor won't or can't perform after you have paid your money and no offer of a refund/partial refund is made. They should make it very clear upfront what they are willing and not willing to do instead of wasting patients' time and money.
