I have a one year old with a right breast demonstrates a vascular lesion with increased colour uptake and most likely in keeping with haemangioma measuring 3 x 0.9cm. It is painful for her and if this is not removed it will deform the right breast for live. Discovery will not cover the operation because they see it as reconstructive surgery. They say it has to be cancer before they are willing to approve the surgery to remover it. As fare as I know a one year old do not have breast to do reconstructive surgery on. If have been sending emails to Discovery but they are not going through to them, they have asked me to take photos of the breast and send that tot them in the email.
