Why not settle the Account?

Dear Bonitas,
I was hospitalized at Netcare Park Lane from 18 March 2013 till 2 April 2013, numerous blood and other tests were requested by the Doctors and Physicians whilst in ICU and in the General Wards. This morning I was contacted by a lady named Xoli from lancet Laboratories, informing me that the Medical Scheme did not settle all outstanding amounts with the excuse that I was not known by the Medical Scheme, how can a portion be settled and not all. As a member of the Medical Scheme I cannot confirm what tests must be done and what not, the Doctors are the only ones with the skills and expertise to authorize tests carried out in hospital. Can all the outstanding amounts due to Lancet and all other service providers whilst I was hospitalized be settled? A speedy reply will be appreciated.
