We had an air- unit that needed to be repaired. They charged us nearly R3, 500.00 for their service, which consisted in: delays, several calls from our side and a delivered air- that never worked after being "repaired". We also purchased a new unit (aprox. R12.000.00) from them at the same time, which has been working fine, although they connected this air- to a regular electricity plug, which is completely wrong. It should be on its own circuit.
When we reported that the "repaired" unit was not working right after being returned to us, they only came after several phone calls and e-mails. The technicians said that the reason why the air- was not working, is because the capacitor was not functioning and it should have been replaced at their workshop (said by the Supervisor himself). We thought this piece replacement was included on the R3, 500.00 that we innicially paid to REPAIR a unit that was indeed never throroughly inspected. Now, 2 MONTHS after they came to our premises, we are being charged nearly R700.00 for the capacitor! THIS IS ABSURD!!! It's completely unprofessional to even dare to charge R700.00 for their mistake. Alair is a very disorganised company.
