In July 2010, we purchased an LG front loader machine. Top of the range. Direct drive. Very impressive. Since then, our family's health has deteriorated. The allergies were terrible. We first blamed the detergent and changed that. We stopped using softener and tested if that made a difference. Nothing. But everything pointed to the clothes. Then we threw out all the clothes and bought new ones. 100% Cotton. The moment we washed it, it caused reaction. We thought maybe the flat has mold, and moved. Nothing changed. Then a week ago we decided to stop using the machine as an experiment, and guess what. The allergies declined drastically. Some even disappeared. Not only did the washing machine cause allergies. Since we got it, our electricity bill nearly doubled. The machine took away three years of health and ruined us financially. So much for "top of the range"..
