Ittle out flow pipe

My Samsung 5 kg washing machine was purchased on 18-03-2012. the out flow pipe has become brittle and I have to use tape to stop water from messing the house. I contacted Samsung and they stated that the pipe is not part of the guarantee. why sell a product using outstanding quality when the pipe used is of inferior quality. if a product is under a year old the company should be liable for repair to their products
