When sending in a Garmion for repairs in December 2013 (first repair out of four that was not a product failing) the unit was logged by Garmin as having come from the Fourways branch of Cape Union Mart. It actually came from the Bryanston Branch.
This eventually got sorted, the unit was eventually repaired (which to the rest of us should read "replaced") and sent back... that is right, sent back to Fourways.
When raising a query with Garmin on 28 January 2014, all I got asked for were reference numbers. Nothing more. Not a word... Apparently if you put your head back under the rock the problem goes away... Cape Union Mart sorted out getting the unit to the right branch, etc... but still nothing from Garmin.
Unfortunatley the previous "repairs" have been as dismal with Garmin. Going forward, I am not sure a person can afford to buy a Garmin. Rather get a product from the opposition - they can only give better service.
