On the 24/01/2014 my phone was on my bedside table and then I heard an explosion in my bedroom - the battery on my S4 exploded and started a fire - I now have a burnt bedroom carpet! Thank heavens I wasnt using/talking on the phone while this happened.
I then took my phone to the Samsung repair store in Boksburg who booked it in to replace the battery, screen and check that there werent any damages. Everyday contacting the store since I booked it in, I was told that my phone would ready for collection on the 28/01/2014. Today 31/01/2014, the manager said it looks like my phone was ready to be collected on the 25/01/2014 and it took a day to repair
He said he would investigate and get back to me
I am still waiting for him to contact me!!!
I need my phone repaired!
I need my carpet repaired!
I need to know why would the battery explode as this should not be happening with a new phone!
I am going to post photos of the battery and my carpet on Reddit!
