IStore helps but turnaround times disappointing

I purchased a 32G iPad Air through MTN on a 24month contract. The reason for this luxury purchase was so my child could download his text books in an ebook format for school.

11 days later and 1 day before school starts, the ipad stops working. I took it back to MTN. Their 7 day swop out period had already expired. They would have to send the device away to be assessed and what sounded like a very long process was provided as the solution.

As I was trying to get this device working in time for school tomorrow, to bypass MTN's processes, I was advised to take it to their service centre. They were unable to assist me with ipad fault assessments and advised me to take it to the istore in canal walk

Their very helpful staff, Madison and Johann did their best to revive the device, however the prognosis was not good and it has to go in for repairs. Their turn around time is 10 days.

Therefore, no ebooks for school, no hard copy text books either as there's no stock left and we had planned to use technology to it's fullest and go the ebook route.

Very disappointing SLA's - makes we want to go back to ordering text books.
