Faulty Batch Samsung S3

I took out a contract with Cell C Paarl Mall 7 months ago. Since then the battery life of this phone has been pathetic. I bought a new charger as the one i received with my phone wasn't charging it. Since recently the phone didn't want to charge at all. WI took it to Cell C and they confirmed something is wrong with the phone. I took it straight to Samsung in Century City and they confirmed that the battery is swollen and that there was a Hardware problem on the phone. The assistant also informed me that my phone was part of a faulty batch. I got feedback today that they will replace the motherboard and charging block. The phone is still under warranty, why cant they just replace it? Now I have to wait an additional week.
