Similar complaint to Thinus and Evert - thanks to their reports I pulled out of transaction. Listed an iPad mini for sale on Gumtree and got a call from Richard Baron. Stated he had paid R4, 500.00 into my account and got SMS from Nedbank saying such. My bank could not confirm and when I told him that I'd rather wait until flow of funds before I deliver goods he said he didn't work with people who didn't trust him and hung up the phone. Now if he had already paid the amount I would have had to reimburse - yet he just hang up? Don't think you can reverse a real payment once the bank has sent out the notification? Not saying he's a scamster, but where there is smoke...
