We purchased a Samsung notebook 540 I5 Touch WB from Incredible Connection on 14 January 2013, for R 14.449, 95.
On 13 April 2013, it was returned to Incredible Connection because the screen, which had been inefficiently glued to the metal hinge on the base had come off. The glue simply gave way and caused the screen to come loose from the base. It is clearly visible that there is (minimal) glue to keep the screen fixed to the base. Incredible Connection refuses to take the notebook back. Samsung's reply is that there was physical damage to the notebook (implying: inflicted by the customer!), which we categorically deny. (Ref 711204 0024) Most notebooks have a metal hinge which is bolted to an identical metal hinge from the notebook base. This is not the case with the Samsung, where it is glued, and the glue gave way!!!
I demand a full refund of R 14.449.95 for this notebook by Samsung, as it is a design fault which Samsung needs to rectify. Samsung refuses a refund and says that the warranty won't be honored.
I an utterly disgusted by the way this very obvious reason for the complaint is handled by Samsung, especially to accuse the customer of damaging the notebook.
