In theory, this phone repair promised to be simple: a part was ordered and would arrive in 5 work days - I would then hand my S3 in for repair.
-9 working days later I made my first enquiry. After a struggle to get through, the ice queen at the other end promised to call me back. A couple hours later this promise was made and broken again.
Next working day I tried again, and when I did I was put on hold. After waiting on hold they simply hung up. Attempts to get back in touch proved difficult as the line was either busy or left unanswered.
At this point I phoned the national call centre to enquire about the part and lay a complaint. A man named Sipho deserves praise for dealing with my admittedly unruly outburst when he told me to call the CT branch. Sipho promised to look into it, and at 17:30 that day I was phoned by his supervisor to tell me that that the part was on its way and I would be notified.
5 working days later I call CT again. Same process: put on hold and hung up on. After eventually getting through to someone, I was told that the part had not even be ordered - meaning that everyone I had spoken to had simply to me rather than attempt resolve the issue.
