A few weeks ago I purchased a "Griffen" cover (white) for my iPhone 4. Approximately 3 weeks later my wife returned the cover showing the staff at the iStore Centurion Mall branch that it has discolored completely. The branch requested a receipt, which she could not produce. They informed her that they could not assist further.
After contacting the Call desk she returned to the same branch indicating that she could produce a bank statement proving the purchase. This again was too much effort for the Branch. They also requested the original packaging this time. Really, who keeps all the packaging for everything they purchase and for how long? Furthermore they also informed her that the item in question is considered a consumable (3 weeks?). It is funny how my previous "consumable" lasted me 2 years!
Again she left the store. This time with a new cover (Black) which she purchased at a 10% discount. I suppose R279 x2 is not a lot of money and she did get a 10% discount but I am still frustrated. Maybe, because I considered myself a huge Apple supporter. Have been purchasing Apple for many years. Maybe it's time for me to change product.
