I purchased two iPhone 5's a few weeks ago while overseas. My wife's iPhone is a 16Gb and is working great. I, however, have the 32Gb, and only receive intermittent connectivity. I have literally spent hours trying to get this problem sorted out, going between Network provider, Service Provider and Apple. Ultimately, it appears that the phone is faulty, and since this is business number, I am at my wits end as to what to do. I fanally approached the manager of the Eastgate branch of Apple Stores, and was told in no uncertain terms that since I purchased the phone overseas, I am not covered. I purchased the phone from an accredited Apple provider in Dubai, and was assured that the guarantee would be valid in South Africa. My question is - does Apple not stand by it's product? I have proof of the date of pourchase, but now they are saying that I have to go back to Dubai, or basically throw my phone away.
