My brother and I went to van schaik, university road, NMMU to purchase some textbooks using a bursary cheque. After waiting in a very long line we eventually made it to the counter, only to be cut in front of by a student. The cashier merrily helps this student first. When we say something she tells us we'll have to wait. Eventually another cashier (NEAR THE SECURITY) rings up our books, only to tell us that we need a signature for the cheque, so my brother makes his way to the back of the store. For some reason, the cashier can't let us pay with the plastic bags using the cheque so she makes a separate transaction for the bags. This causes her to somehow NOT GIVE US A SLIP for the books. The security guard I can imagine is watching all of this go down. After the woman thanks us and hands us our books inside VAN SCHAIK PACKETS WITH THE LABEL "VAN SCHAIK" WRITTEN ON IT, the security guard barges in front of my brother and I. I mean no disrespect, but she was a huge woman. She asks us to empty our packets and retrieve our slip. When we can't she holds us there. My brother was subsequently late for class. I'd like to ask, do you incriminate and treat all your customers so harshly?
