I registered for subjects towards my BCom on Monday, 4 November 2013, with exam dates in May 2014, and paid the fees. On Tuesday, 5 November, a friend invited us to his wedding in the UK in May 2014. As my husband wants us to go, I contacted Milpark on Wednesday, 6 November to ask if the exam dates can be moved. The suggestion was that I ask for an temporary suspension and that I need to complete forms and will then be refunded. I completed the forms, heard nothing and followed up on Wednesday 13 November, only to be told that refund cannot be processed until I provide travel documents, which cannot be obtained until next year. I feel this is grossly unfair, as it was only a two day period from where I registered to where I advised Milpark, I have not received any books and cannot see why I need to wait months for a refund - the registration was not even processed yet.
