I not too long ago accepted a job offer at Delta BEC and was glad to associate myself with a so called, 'vibrant' team! As they stated on the job ad on PNET. After a few weeks at the company, I was ostracised by Afrikaaners communicating with their own culture and never including the black and indian employees.
I sooner came to find out that the individuals provided with management titles had no qualifications at all, which is no problem due to some of their skills but the blacks and indians that held qualifications and experience were given admin and assistant titles and reported to managers with no experience.
The question is, were we employed for BEE only? The company believes in husbands and wives working together, tagging their babies along to work and the management are getting away with daylight when it comes to their discrimination till date!
I left the company, but am severely saddened by the individuals that are living daily by the companies mannerism only because they fear losing their jobs.
So Before you sign your next tender with Delta BEC, do your homework and go with Ethics and not the sweet tone of a so called Vibrant yet team!
