Good day
I purchased a electric/portable lamp for power failures.
This lamp was demonstrated and I was informed that the warranty and service backup was outstanding as CHAMBERLAINS DO NOT SELL SUB-STANDARD GOODS.
Well to my surprise I tested the lamp and it worked.
The lamp in the box was stored for future use.
To my amazement when I needed the lamp due to a power failure it did not work.
I tried charging the system as it has a built in battery and remote control but to no avail. The lamp would not work.
In good faith I returned the lamp and explained the situation to the store manager. He assured me that they would replace the lamp or have the lamp repaired by their supplier.
After 20 or 30 phone calls and six months later I finally managed to get an answer from the store manager.
I was told that Chamberlains was not interested in replacing or repairing the lamp as their supplier closed. I am not sure as I had so many excuses and reasons why the lamp cannot be replaced or repaired, I lost track.
I FEEL THAT CHAMBERLAINS WERE OR ARE UNSCRUPOLOUS WHEN SELLING SUB-STANDARD PRODUCTS TO THE PUBLIC.
Kind Regards
HH Mille
