On the 21 January I received a quote of R7600-00 from Phantom Pave to do brick imprint paving on my garden cottage porch and to do the front entrance area into my home, during the process of doing the job I noticed that Andre does not do what other companies do of working the color into the cement, I asked Andre about this as I was concerned that the paint would peel off of the cement as he did not apply a bonding agent to the cement to ensure that the paint would not peel, he ensured me that it wouldn't and I quote I said to him "I hope I don't have to worry about the paint peeling off in the next 5 years" on the 18 April I contacted him to advise that the paint was starting to peel off and what should I do, he advised me that he would come past in 2 weeks to do a touch up on the paint after that period still no sign of him on the 02 May I contacted him again and was advised to wait another 2 weeks due to him been busy, plus I get told that his guarantee is for 5 years that the cement wont crack, not for the paint peeling, should I have no satisfactory repair work done, I will then submit my article to the newspapers and the consumer protection council.
