HP has NO respect for client service!!!

In June of 2012 I have saved enough money to invest in a good and proper laptop (R11 000). HP had a great laptop wich i then purchased. In the month of Feb 2013 the laptops hardrive failed. The machine was still under warrantee so took it back to HP sandton. The said they can get it fixed (which any customer should have no doubt about) and have it ready on 14/03/2012 as per the Customer repair slip. After NUMEROUS calls made to HP, to get some kind of progress report on my machine, they still couldn't give me answers...

So, on this day, 18 March i still have no laptop and probable lost a few clients cause of no laptop, I contacted the customer care line. I lodged the complaint and STILL have no idea whether the machine is fixed? Where it is? who's got it? and when I can receive it...

So in short, HP has not ONCE communicated to me about the laptop and STILL cant give me solid feedback on my machine.. I had to call them (7 times)

What happened to BASIC customer care service delivery and and respecting the consumers rights and most important of all, his business!!?? Is this a case of violation of my consumer rights?
