I had taken a contract from Altech which comprised of a HP laptop. I have not received any joy with regarding the way forward with this laptop which has been so problematic. It has been in and out of repairs and to date nobody has contacted with me regarding what happens now that the 1 year warrantee has expired. A lady by the name of Evelyn Shlongwane contacted me two months ago from the head office who had requested the barcode and make and model of the unit. I had contacted her numerous times ever since for feedback and there was no feedback and just plain ignorance of my calls and emails. I had taken the contract for work purposes but I am unable to use the laptop and has costed me more in taking the unit in and out of the Pinnacle center in Springfield park every second month. I will be seeking legal advice as I am sure I d have rights as a consumer with regard to an incident like this!
