Charged R772 for a 30min trip from Monte Casino to Kensington!!
Surge pricing is beyond ridiculous! Driving at 35km per hour, as customers also get charged for time distance!! Thought that Uber was an alternative to regular taxi's and was looking to use it as a safe alternative on a girls night out, but I will never EVER use them again. When I complained to Alon Lits, the Uber JHB rep, he not only refused to negotiate the ludicrous amount with me, but then proceeded to ignore my complaint and debit the amount from my credit card anyway!! Thank you for the big "up yours" to your potential customer!! I have never felt so ripped off and robbed in my life, disgusted!! I hope Uber gets held liable in the on-going case of the wrongful-death lawsuit of six-year-old Sofia Liu, where an Uber driver knocked her and her mother over [URL Removed]

And please don't respond with the generic email about "surge pricing being explained " as it was NOT explained properly! And NO, you will NOT be getting business from me EVER again!!
