On February 12 I reserved a car at Europcar after being quoted R 552. The rental period was for 11 April to 14 April, pickup at Cape Town. Today I got the bill and to my absolute shock I am charged R 2134 for the rental. Suddenly I was charged @ R 297 per day, where it was R 225 per day on the quote. The lady told me as I am paying with a Discovery Credit Card I can get a free upgrade. This upgrade was obviously not free, don't let them fool you. I was also charged an additional R 60 admin fee, on my quote it was included in the total. I got only 600km?? Charged for another 238 km. Thursday to Sunday is 4days!!! The most ridiculous thing is a charge of R795 for on way drop off surcharge!! This was NEVER DISCUSSED WITH me!! R 795 for dropping off my car at George airport! Are you serious!!?? I can drive to cape town and back for that fee!!! Also just that charge is more than my entire quote I got! IS THAT REASONABLE!??? WHY DIDN"T YOU TELL ME THIS THEN I NEVER WOULD"VE USED EUROPCAR IN THE FIRST PLACE! Ridiculous!! Never again! This is also against the consumer act to charge an consumer without him being made aware of the fees included! I will take this further if not rectified
